House of Hope

Short Film and Photojournalism

The House of Hope Orphanage provides shelter for 70 orphaned children and maintains a K – 13 grade school. Students are educated on specific trades, such as sewing and water purification, that equip students for jobs in their communities.
In June 2014 God placed a desire in my heart to create a promotional video for the orphanage. After being given the go-ahead by the organization, I was assigned a translator and filmed/interviewed students, teachers and locals about the educational system in Haiti and how House of Hope was making an impact.
